Coffee Time Romance review of William A. Veselik's The Vampire Lord Unmasked: My Soul To Take Part III

Laurie gave this mystery novel 3 Coffee Cups.

"Set around the turn of the 20th century in London, England, this horror mystery is written with nice gothic flair. The conversations and mannerisms of the characters all seem very characteristic of the prim and proper Victorian Era. This story reminded me very much of a Sherlock Holmes mystery but with the paranormal twist...I liked the book...the tempo picks up considerably in the latter half, which is action-packed. The ending contains a couple of surprise elements that I found particularly satisfying."

Rainbow Reviews review of Susan Roebuck's "Perfect Score"

Shaz gave this M/M romance 4.5 Stars.

"This book is such a well-written tale, the story is set in the 1960s and I'm pretty much a present-day reader. I really liked the sound of the blurb so I wanted to check this story out...the ending, my God, it has to be one of the best conclusions to a book I have read in this genre. I really enjoyed this book...I do think this is a very different and unique book, and a very different outlook on a relationship (especially because of the time period)."

Mystique Books review of Bad-Ass Faeries 2: Just Plain Bad

Sarah Gentili gave this collection 5 Moons! Outstanding indeed!

"This was packed cover to cover with unique and exciting stories that I found delievered thrills and chills. Whiled it was difficult to pick favorites there were a few stories that really shined for me. "Way Of The Bone" blends music and magic in a surprising romantic story that was truly haunting. Parsarella's "Twilight Sour" made my skin crawl and turned my spin into a shivering mess. And finally, Ackley-McPhail's "Within the Guardian Bell" was exceptional. Excellent pacing, perfectly timed dialog and razor sharp characterization push this story to the top of a brilliant selection of storytelling. I would highly recommend this magical read."

Ebook Addict review of Louise Cooper's Sacrament of Night

Red wrote:

"I liked the setting for Sacrament of Night: a door, a key, and an impossible romance between two beings from mirror worlds, one of light and one of darkness. That it was written by Louise Cooper was an additional plus because I'd read (a) very fine fantasy from her before I was not disappointed in this new book. I found the storyline very well thought out, with plot and subplots complex and interesting enough to keep me curious and engaged...I enjoyed Sacrament of Night very much overall. I found the world building vivid, the characters, for the most part, believable, and the tempo, climax and resolution everything that I expect in outstanding fantasy literature. It would be a book I'd add to my shelf and definitely reread."
